access table security

I have a back end data-base with 3 tables in it. To get into this
data-base you have to have a password. I then created some
front-end's to access data from this data-base.

Using access 2007, I created a run-time installable front-end that
allows the user to query some data in the database. However, I am
wondering, if someone has the full-version of access on their PC, if
they open this front-end, can they manipulate data in the tables?

The tables are "linked" to the back-end data base from the front end
database. The run-time installable doesn't show any of the tables,
queries or forms, but my concern is, if someone would open the
run-time installable with the full version of access, I am afraid they
might be able to alter data in the table.

I would think if they tried to open the table from there it would
prompt them for a password???? But maybe it doesn't because the table
has already been "linked" and I can't remember if I had to put a
password in at that time; probably so...so once a table is linked they
could probably manipulate the data??

Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

THANKS in advance for any suggestions, ideas.

Even a user with full 2007 Access installed will have to know the password to
gain Access to the data. There is no password on each table, it is only for
the entire database. A user with the runtime could open the back end
directly and modify data in the tables, but could not make any design changes
to the table if they have the password.
But, it only takes about 5 minutes to find a free Access password cracker on
the web.
