Access to documents.....what is the default?

Doug,

You have to actually assign them a task and republish the
project. As long as the rest of your permissions and
categories are set properly, this will add them to the sub-
web in SharePoint.

There are other ways to let non-team members see documents
and issues, but they become cubersome to manage (special
categories of projects).
