Access to draw command pad

Tom

Hi , I cannot access my draw pad (group/ungroup, fill....) anymore.
When I click the button in the header, it flyes out and moves out of
the screen. When I click the button again, it closes it. Any idea?

Change your display resolution to something much larger, until you can get
hold of it, then drag it to the centre of the screen, then put your
resolution back where it was and reposition the toolbar correctly.

Cheers

You can also go to the menu option to customise toolbars and turn on
the drawing toolbar (instead of the floating palette window). I haven't
got Word / Office installed on this Mac to check exactly where it is,
but the option appears near the bottom of one of the last menus in the
menu bar.

Harry:

I think that's the one he has lost :)

The drawing toolbar (actually, "any" toolbar) will float if the user so
desires. Right off the screen, if they're not careful :)

Cheers

This was all solved in the concurrent thread in German, I'm pretty sure, and
no one is waiting for aid on this thread, just by the way.

Actually, I'm still on the case, but the OP hasn't answered yet, so I
suppose that everything worked out for him. If it didn't, be assured that I
have read all your recommendations and will translate them if the methods I
suggested did not work. Thanks for your input!

Hi Friends,

after a few days I asked the micosoft help desk via e mail. They got a
simple solution:
- quit all programms
- open: /user/<Ihr_Benutzername>/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/
- delete "Word Settings (10)" and "Word Font Substitutes"

that solved the problem
Thanks very much for your help

Thanks Tom:

We're trying to work out why they sent you to the Word Font Substitutes
..plist :)

Beth and I are discussing this with the Mac Word development team, who are
as mystified as we are :) The problem would have been in either your
Normal template or the Word Settings .plist they sent you to.

We can't think why they wanted you to delete the Font Substitutes :)

I've asked the developers if they would please make us a "Reset my settings"
tool for Mac Office. PC Office has "Detect and Repair", and I am hoping we
will get something similar :)

This is quite a frequent request, and it's difficult to track all the
settings down over various installation types and languages.

Cheers
