Access to Exchange 2003 via Webdav using Entourage 2008 very slow

I use Entourage internally connecting to Exchange 2003 via WebDAV. Sometimes it can be 20 mins or so between the time an email appears on my Blackberry and it hits my Entourage inbox. When I am outside the company network, the lag is only a couple of minutes.

Can you advise?

I suspect you are tying to use the same external Outlook Web Access
(OWA) server from both inside and outside your company network.

Hi William

Thanks for this - I tried the script and couldn't get it to work. Now for some reason I can't access my email at all!

Would the script have made some changes that I can't see from Entourage? I've even tried creating a new Exchange profile with the details that always work and still no luck!

Since running this script my Entourage won't connect to Exchange. Even though the settings in Entourage are exactly the same as they were it just won't connect.

I've now deleted the Exchange account and started a new one - same thing.

I've even created a new identity and - same thing.

What can I do? Are there settings somewhere the script reset that is overriding the Entourage settings?

Hi Dave!

The script does one thing. It looks at your current IP address and
changes your Exchange Server address accordingly. It changes nothing else.

Since I suspect you are using your Outlook Web Access (OWA) connection,
be sure that you have the SSL option selected for your Exchange Server.
