ACCESS- use a value to create a label - 1 = Male, 2 = Female

I have several fields I want to populate by using #s and then have the
associated label populate the field. How do I set this up? Thanks for any
advice.

If I understand correctly, you want the user to select a number from a list
box, combo box, or option group but store a text value in a table? Is there
are reason for not storing the number?

Do you have fields to store the number and the string?
