Access versus client-server

Hi,

You may want to look into MSDE (Microsoft desktop
engine). This allows for client-server computing while
using the familiar Access environment to build your
application. I looked into this not too long ago, but the
company I'm working with decided to put it's data on full
blown SQL server. The SQL server site has some really
good articles on this to help you understand the MSDE.

Or, you could also look into splitting your database (.mdb
file) into a front/back end (although I'm not sure if this
is true client/server) and then saving the front end as an
MDE file. This is the cheaper way to go and depending on
# of users, etc., it might be a good choice.

Regards,
Jen
