Hi!

What is the configuration to access views in epm 2003.

All the configurations - plug ins, IE configuration, etc

Access to Views is controlled by security Categories in Project Server 2003.
Think of the security model this way:

1. Categories control what you cans see.
2. Groups control what you can do.
3. The intersection between Categories and Groups controls what you can do
with what you can see.

If you need assistance with all the configurations, I doubt anyone in this
group is going to take the time to help you, as we are all volunteers. I
would recommend you purchase a book on administering Project Server 2003 by
navigating to the following URL:

Hope this helps.

Sure, Dale.

I know that, And by groups and categories, this specific user has all
the permitions to see views in epm 2003.
but when he try to access them, is doenst work.
so my question were/is if there is another type of configuration,
peharphs in IE, that could be missing.

Thanks.

Well, what happens when the user attempts to access a PWA view? Does he/she
see an error message or what? Let us know.

Hi

Here is the message that appears when he try to access a viw in ps2003

"Not possible to access Olap Cube from Analyses Serices of Microsoft
Project Server.
The cube may not exist or you don't have permissions to access it."

The point is that the cube exist, I can access it and its views.
That's why I think that might be something deal with configuration.

I believe you need to create a database Role that has access to the OLAP
cube and then add the user to the Role. Hope this helps.
