Access violation (0xc0000005), Address:0x3003ffed

I have a user that gets the above exception when opening Excel 97, operating system is Win NT 4.0 and office 97. I can fix it by uninstalling office and reinstalling it, but it comes back after a few days.
btw, I have done a clean installation of the OS and office 97 as well, but the excel issue returns days later.

Anyone knows a fix?
