Access won't open into maximized window

When I open my Access97 database, it opens into a partial-
screen window, instead of a maximized window. The
database is opened by a batch file, with the following
command:

C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~1\Office\msaccess C:\myapp\MyDB.mdb

If I launch Access via the Start menu, it opens into a
maximized window. If I open an Access database by typing
only the database name at a DOS prompt, it opens into a
maximized window.

Unfortunately, in my launch script, I have to use the
command above, which opens Access in a partial-screen
window. How can I cause Access to open into a maximized
window using the command above?

I am running Access97 SR-2a on W2K SP3

Thanks,
Paul

Assuming that you want a main menu or form to be displayed when your
database opens, under Tools/Start Up, you could set the Start Up property to
display that form when the database opens and set an Event property for that
form to Maximize. You could also do the same thing with a macro, named
AutoExec, which would open the form and then maximize it.

Greg,

I tried what you suggested. However, it doesn't cause the
main Access window to be maximized. Instead, it causes
the form (MDI child window) to be maximized within the
Access window.

I need the Access window to be maximized, i.e. the main
Access window occupies the entire screen.

Do you have any other ideas?

Thanks,
Paul
