Access won't open.

Have been using Office 97 Professional for several years,
with no problems. Had reason to re-install it today. Other
applications still work OK, but cannot open Access97.
Instead I receive message: "Microsoft Access can't start
because there is no licence for it on this machine." How
can I get it going again?
