Access XP Help

John

I am using AccessXP sp3
I'm noticing many problems with my VBA help.
i.e. No help for "MoveFirst, MoveLast, MoveNext, MovePrevious"
No help for "Getrows" and many other methods and/or functions.
It finds them in the search pane but displays no Help for them.

I recently downloaded the latest Help Files from Microsoft.
"Access 2002 Update: Additional Help Files" at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...86-83B2-4713-BE7A-16BE28FB1B6F&displaylang=en

But I am finding that the help file is SERIOUSLY lacking

Is this a problem with my system or MS help files in AccessXP
What can I do? I seemed to have ahd better help in previous versions!

There is seperate help files for Access and VBA. Try opening the editor (Alt-F11) and then
press F1 for help and you should be able to find those items.

If that still doesn't work then search for a DAO*.HLP file in \WINDOWS\HELP or in
the OFFICE11\1033 directory of your install there should be a bunch of .CHM help files.

High John,

I didn't realize that they were "Seperate" help files,
But I was in the VBA Editor help section. I've pressed F1 when cursor
is over a particular word & the help file can't find some of the mentioned
items...

I can't find a DAO*.HLP anywhere on my system.
Can I download it from somewhere?

It's known that the help files from A2000 onwards are often screwed up
(presumably in their indexing not content).

Nevertheless, in A-XP VBA, if I type "movefirst" or "movelast" and F1, I get
help on MoveFirst, MoveLast etc. Same for GetRows.

That about covers the "mentioned items"...in SP2...unless they screwed it up
worse for SP3...
