Access XP vs Access 2003: any problems?

J

Joao Luis Rita

Hello all

I'm about to start a new database for a client with Access XP. I'll need to
use macros and (amybe) some simple modules. Problem is, I don't have Access
XP, I have 2003. If I build the DB in 2003, will I be able to use it in XP?

Thanks for any tips.

Cheers

You should be able to.

By default, both Access 2002 and 2003 actually use the Access 2000 format.

As long as you don't use features that are new to Access 2003, it should
work fine with Access 2002.

On the other hand, I certainly wouldn't risk my reputation rolling something
out to a customer without testing it on a comparable setup to what they're
using.
