So Call Me Crazy
I have what basically amounts to an inventory database built in Access 2007.
The data resides in a separate 07 DB with links to those tables. I have
published the inventory database to SharePoint 07.
On the surface, it looks like things are working swimmingly. But, it's not.
Problem 1: One of my colleagues has tried to make a change to a record
several times. We get no error message of any kind. The changes look
permanent until he gets out of the database and then gets back in. The
changes are gone.
Problem 2: They have the ability to delete items from inventory. When I
look at the data within the published database, the items are in fact
deleted. However, if I open the database that contains the linked tables and
look at the data there, the data is NOT deleted. So, my thought was that
perhaps I have accidentally published the inventory database and it was still
linked to my test data database tables. But, when I open the inventory
database to check the linked tables, the Linked Table Manager is disabled!
I don't even know if that's the problem or if it lies in all this lists
stuff of SharePoints'!
