the easy way is to remove access2000 then defrag your
drive.
2. install office97 first. but make your directory Program
Files\Office97,then Open Access one time and save any mdb
you want.then restart you cpu
3. install office 2000, again take the default settings
for location, around the 3rd screen it will ask if you
would like to keep access97 and anyother office product in
the list answer Yes.

well it's not the best but it did work for me.

perfectly feasaible. I have Access 2, Access97 and Access
2000 all running perfectly happily side by side on my PC.
All that is required is to make sure the programs are kept
in separate directories.

Use Custom Install, and install in a different folder, such as Office97. You
will probably need to do the workaround for no license for this copy on this
computer. But I've used this method to have 3 versions of Office available
on the same PC. The only issue is that the "last" version of Access used to
open a database will be the new default version when clicking from Explorer
on an mdb file.
