Access2000-Compact and Repair

I have problem with DB in a size of 80 MB . When I use
Compact and Repair, the Application halt and nothing
happen. Looking in one of the table I see in a record that
all its field have "#####" in it, and I can't delete this
record. Is there any tool that can help in this issue ?
