Access2000 file fails to open

Mark Neilson

I have a 4MB access file that will not open

There is no error message, but the only thing that happens is that
MSACCESS.EXE launches

I can query the data using MSQuery and the query returns data correctly.

Any ideas?

Any chance it is open, just the database window isn't visible? Try pressing F11, it that
doesn't do it go to Window|Unhide. If it doesn't show any hidden windows try Window|Tile
Horizontally and Window|Arrange Icons.

Verify your Startup options in the tools menu
maybe you have the "Show data Base" dissabled

This can also be a sign of corruption. If Wayne's suggestion doesn't
help try importing all the objects into a new MDB. Also see the
Corruptions FAQ at my website.
