Access2000 set up failed to locate qualifying product why?

I am attempting to install Access 2000 on my computer that has Windows XP.
The installation fails and I get a message "Set up failed to locate a valid
qualifying product". What do I do now to install Access 2000?

What you have is an Upgrade version of Access 2000. All Microsoft upgrade
products require you have a "qualifying product" before it will allow the
installation. The documentation should tell you what products you have to
have installed before it will allow the upgrade.
