Hi Everyone,

I have a customer who is using Access as their database backend for their
website. And it has done pretty well over the past two years for them.....no
major problems....they are planning to add some new stuff to their website
and are concerned by the performance it iwll have on their website. There is
a possiblity that one of the tables will have nearly 20,000 records in
it....I was wondering if there would be any performance issues with this.

I have not found any documentation to say what limits are on Access and a
website....but then again....I use SQL SERVER more than I use Access.

So if anyone has any comments to make about using Access and possible
problems....I look forward to hearing from you.

20,000 records is not a big deal for Jet to handle, but performance depends
on a number of factors, including requirements, design, and implementation
of the application and the hardware, software, load on the server, and
whether the DB is networked to the application or local.
