I have an import spec that worked fine in Access2003 (Import a fixed
width .txt file into a linked SQL table). However, in 2007, it doesn't
work. When executing via the TransferText command in VBA, only one
field (out of eight) is imported. When attempting to import via
External Data from the toolbar, then selecting the spec, I get an
'Invalid Argument' error, with no further detail. Using the same spec,
I'm able to import into a new table.
Taking it a step further, I imported that new table into SQL and tried
to import into THAT table, but with no luck. But, if I import again
into the new Access table, I'm successful.
I've seen some posts on various message boards identifying similar
problems, but with no apparent resolutions. I'm desperate. HELP!!!!
Thanks in advance.
