Access2k/MDB/TO_CHAR

Does anyone know if the to_char function works in the INSERT INTO table
VALUES command works with the Microsoft Access 2000 (*.mdb) driver? I'm
trying to use TO_CHAR to format the date and it's telling me that it's
expecting a different datatype. The datatype i'm updating into is text,
i'm changing SYSDATE and i'm formatting it with a date formatting string
(ie: 'mmddyyyyhhmmss' or 'mmddyyyyhhmiss').

Please reply to MornThdr*AT*hotmail.com as I'm not planning on checking
