Hi-
It appears as though Excel does not support using keyboard shortcuts with
hyperlinks in cells. While the documentation says one can "Press Enter to
activate a hyperlink", pressing Enter merely moves the cell indicator in the
default direction.
The other bit I found was that Microsoft specifically will not launch a
hyperlink activity if the cell has been navigated to by use of the arrow
keys. This design was so that someone editing an Excel spreadsheet would not
needlessly launch a webpage or other file while editing.
This does not bode well for someone who cannot hold a mouse. Does anyone out
there have a solution? I feel this is a specific occassion where
accessibility should be the watchword, not workaround.
Regards,
Ellen
