ACCESSing a Locked DB

I was given a DB to make a few custom mods to.

When I open the DB, all I get is the main switchboard and no means to get
into the back end.

The original author is not arround anymore and no one knows how to contact
him.

I tried using Passware Office Key 6.3 to try and recover the admin password,
however the only password it recovers is the general user's password.

How do I gain access to the backend of the DB ?
Am I missing something here ??

I would open the database exclusively and then go to tools, startup, and place a check in the display database window. Once you restart the database, you should be able to minize the window and get behind the switchboard. I hope this answers your question.
