accessing a template

I created a template and saved it to the project server as such. After
closing and reopening project, how do I access this template for further
modification?

Aubrey:

You need to open it as if you're going to start a new project from it.
You'll need to save it as a different name to save changes to it. Your other
option is to save as an mpp file, delete the original, and import the new
version under the same name as the deleted template.

Gary, in Project 2002 it seems you can pull up the template as if you're
going to start a new project, make changes, then overwrite the existing
template. Is there a reason to avoid that solution?
