Accessing C functions from a DLL (shared library?) in Excel X

Does anyone know how to do this?
It's well known how to do this for Excel in Windows,
as well as for Excel in the older Mac OS, but
I haven't been able to figure out how to get it to
work for MacOS X and Excel X.
