Be nice, some people are not as "computer literate" as
others

To answer your question, if someone else hasn't answered
it already, is to go Start Menu > Programs >
Adminstrative Tools > Event Viewer. Now you should be
able to access logs of Application, Security and System
Events. I don't know much about it for I rarely use it
except to find out the details of the occassional system
crash caused by an overloaded video card.
Now if you don't have Administrative Tools in your start
menu, go into the taskbar/start menu settings (right
click on the start button and go properties).
In there go to the Start Menu tab then click on the
customize button. Now if you have the "Classic" Start
Menu, you should find the Administrative Tools option the
first on the list at the bottom. With the XP Start Menu,
it is on the Advanced tab and down the bottom of the list
that is above Recent Documents (you'll have to scroll
down). You will want the first option, "Show in All
Programs".
Post a reply if you have any problems with that.
Have fun,
Daryl Keehn.
PS: Another way to open the Event Viewer is Start > Run
and type in %SystemRoot%\system32\eventvwr.msc /s
