Accessing hyperlinks from Excel minimizes Excel

I have an Excel s/sheet that shows many tasks and has
hyperlinks to the Word documents that describe those
tasks. When I click the hyperlink, the Word document
opens for editting. However, when I try to go back to the
s/sheet it is minimized. I would like the s/sheet to
remain maximized after the Word document is opened. Is
there a way to set this behavior?
