Accessing my work emails from home

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Email Client: imap

I have a Fedora 9 server, running Dovecot IMAP/POP3 Server
Version 1.0.15. i need to access my work emails from home. plan on using my internet connection from home to access my mail server and pull in my mail box. Please help on how i should go about.

IMAP is designed to do exactly what you want to do. Set up the account
in Entourage as an IMAP account and you should see the same folder
structure.
