Accessing Project Server from Microsoft Project 2003

I have a problem when trying to access Project Server from Microsoft Project
2003. I select my server and choose connect. After a while it comes back
with a SQL Server login prompt. I now enter the SQL Server account that
should provide access to the database and it errors saying:

SQL Server does not exist or access denied. I have connected previously
with no problem, but now I can’t seem to connect at all. Could my user
account have changed and how can I resync it?
