Accessing Resource Calendars

My company wants to move away from using the Admin projects but we have over
1000 resources so it would be too much work for one person to handle the
input of the time off. We are hoping that is a way to grant limited access
to a specific group of employees to the resource pool so that they will be
able to update the resource calendars but not be able to add or delete
members from the list. Is this possible?

I think you are saying that you want a group of people to serve as Resource
Pool Administrators in your environment. If so, this is very possible.
First of all, each of them would need to have Microsoft Project Professional
installed on their desktop, as they would need to be able to open the
Enterprise Resource Pool and edit the calendars for each resource.
Secondly, you could set up a custom Group for this purpose, perhaps named
something like Resource Pool Administrators. This custom Group would be a
copy of the default Adminsitrators group, but with reduced permissions.
Specifically, you would want to set the Add Resource and Clean up Project
Server Database permissions for this Group to Not Allowed (neither Allow or
Deny is selected) to make sure that they cannot add or remove resources in
the system. Hope this helps.

Thank you that's just what I wanted to know.
