Accessing Subfolder Office 2003

In all my office 2003 programs whenever I select a
subfolder from My Documents to open I click through until
I find the subfolder I want. But the next time I go to
get a file from the same subfolder I must click through
all the folders again. Office 2000 remembered which
subfolder I last selected a file from and started there
instead of going all the way back to My Documents. Is
there a way to change this in Office 2003 to work like
Office 2000?
