Accessing the project documenTs & Public Documents Problem --Help

Turki Ben Sumih

Dear Friends,
I have Windows authentication users applied to my EPM and all the users can
see all the public documents & project documents Unless one user ! he can
navigate to the Public Documents
area. This takes him to the Shared Documents and Project Documents list. If
he clicks on either of these he gets a Windows pop in box. As the
Administrator I have a log in to the Web server box. I don't get that
Windows log in prompt when I clcik on Shared Documents or Project Documents.
i created a project authentication user and i logged in from his machine and
i received the same problem ! i think the problem is in his machine
eventhough i istalled hosts files & regestration entries and MDAC to his
machine !
can any body help me solving this? thanks in advance !

By chance, does this one user have a Project Server authenticated account,
rather than using Windows authentication?

On the offending machine, check the browser settings. Make sure the
discussions toolbar is not turned on. Make sure there are no additional
browser addins such as the Google tool bar, and test another user logging
into this machine. If a new user can logon and use the machine, you might
try recreating the user profile.
