accessing word files on websites

Hi

Apologies if the solution to this is available somewhere
on MS site, but I did look around.

The problem is that I have lots of word files on my
sites, and some open via the browser ok, and some refuse
to. A dialogue box appears with 'check file permission',
and 'save to disk and open' (whichit won't do)

I don't know why some open via the browser and some
don't, and neither does my web host company.

I am running XP, Word 2002, ie6, and posting files up via
FP2000.
