AccessXP Sp3 VBA Editor

I am using Access XP And having a problem whenever
I open the VBA editor or the Help file. The window that
opens is always tiled with the main Access window &
the VBA or Help window. Regardless of how I maximize or
minimize them, they are always tiled. Sometimes the Main
Access window is tiled to less than an inch wide. It seems
as though the VBA &/or Help windows are somehow linked
to the main Access window. Is there a way to disengage
these windows. Or am I just using them wrong.
