Accidentally saved over existing file

I accidentally saved over an existing file. Is there any
way to recover my original file? I desperately need it.

No, but if you have "Always create backup copy" checked on the Save tab of
Tools | Options, then you can find the previous version of the file saved as
"Backup of <filename>.wbk" in the same folder (display All Files to see it).
If you don't have this option checked, now you know why it's recommended.
