Accidently deleted Office can you restore from windows

I know how can you accidently delete office? Well my wife has this real
objection having Outlook on her laptop. Needless to say since it is not
needed I decided to remove it. I went to add/remove programs. I pressed the
only button for Office. I thought it would come up with a what programs do
you want to remove. Well it just removed everything. I used a disk to
install, but unfortunately it is in boxes waiting for me to move into my
relocated residence. Is there a way to recover or restore without the disks?
I just want to get back Word and Excel. What happens to the associated
files? If the answer is wait for the disks, do I have any short term options?

Thanks/

If she has WinXP on her system...you can restore the state of it all
by going back to a previous restore point. That'll put everything back
the way the system was...days ago, depending on your last restore
point.

Click Start > Help and enter RESTORE into the search...then read the
article on SYSTEM RESTORE OVERVIEW and follow the directions to find
when your last restore point was. Depending on her settings, it may be
just a day/two ago. If she hasn't installed anything else or done any
major config changes...it would be wise to just restore. NOTE that all
documents/files will NOT go back to previous versions...just the
system and the state of installed software.

Good luck!
