acCmdAppMaximize ignored when opened w/Hyperlink

I want the Access app to maximize when it opens, and it does this if I open
it from the icon in the folder when I code the acCmdAppMaximize command. If
I open through a hyperlink in an Outlook email, the application does not
maximize? I also tried using the apiShowWindow Windows API, and I have even
more unusual behavior.

Any ideas?

Not sure I understand. I want to send the team to be able to open the DB
from a hyperlink. The shell application is used to open a file from within
(VB) code. I can't see how that applies. Am I missing something?

It's confusing that it works well when opened from the file icon, but
behaves differently when opened from a hyperlink.

I appreciate any assistance!

That REALLY didn't work. The container opens up correctly (maximized), but
no forms show, no database window, no menus...just the blue title bar at the
top

Anything else I can try?

Hi Andy,
but what is the whole idea? not sure that sending database over email is a
good idea. perhaps you can send a link to it?

OK. I'll explain. I send my project participants a link to the DB. When
they click the link, it opens a form that will let them review database
information, and then click a button to give their reply (which updates the
database).

I do not send the entire DB over email, just a hyperlink. The difficulty is
that the DB is not maximizing, pinching the form window, and confusing those
who are less technology saavy.

Is this a known issue?

OK. That works, but the user has to go through a couple of warnings.

Do you know why this is happening?
