Accounts are being joined under the same tab on the left

I recently set up my 4 email accounts in mac mail, and everything was working fine. When I bought entourage, I followed the set up instructions and imported my email accounts from mac mail into entourage. Now, my email accounts are also set up in entourage.

The Problem: 2 of my 4 email accounts are not being displayed correctly. On the left side of entourage, I see a bunch of tabs. One of them says: "Gmail 1," and another says, "Gmail 2." These are the two accounts that are being displayed correctly. That is, when I click on those links, I can see the inboxes for those accounts. However, the messages for my other two accounts are jointly collected under the tab: "On My Computer," which has its own subfolders including Outbox, Sent Items, Deleted Items, etc.

Does anybody know how I can set entourage so that each account will have its own folders and its own messages under its own tab on the left side (instead of two of the accounts being joined under the tab "On My Computer"?

Thank you, and I greatly appreciate the help.

This is one of the many way in which Entourage differs from Apple Mail. Exchange and IMAP accounts (like your gmail setup) appear as separate folder structures. POP mail (your other accounts) dump all incoming mail into the Inbox on "My Computer" as well as shared sent items, junk mail, and drafts. What we do is create a new folder (FILE>NEW>FOLDER) and name it "<account_name Inbox>". Then create a rule (TOOLS>RULES...) to filter incoming mail from a particular account into that particular folder. You can create similar rules from sent items as well.

Instead of filtering POP mail to different folders you could optionally
leave all the messages in place and modify each POP account's settings
to display the accounts individually.

Go to Tools --> Accounts... --> Options and select "Allow online access
(shows account in folder list)".

Hope this helps!

Personally, I don't think using Entourage in the "online status" is the best
option. I would create a rule to move mail from each account to it's own
"Inbox."

Account is select from popup Account A
Move Mail to Folder select from popup Inbox Account A

There are 3 different kind of rules in Entourage:

Mailing List Manager (MLM)
Junk Mail Filter
Rules (custom rules you create)

They run in the order listed above. The custom rules also run in the order
they are listed. (top runs first)

See "Using Rules with Entourage" for help and examples:
