accurate clock settings

I need to find out how to get entourage to recognize and accept my system clock, which is set in an accurate 24-hour time. Right now, the emails aren't logged in at any time that makes any sense at all!! 5 hours & some-odd minutes off? What is this???

Is Entourage perhaps configured to show the date on which the message was
downloaded, as opposed to when it was sent? In the main window, click on
View>Arrange By>Sent and see if that solves the problem.

Check both
Entourage Preferences > General > Time Zone
and
System Preferences > System > Date and Time > Time Zone
Make sure both time zones are correct.

suggestions, you ought to be able to fix this problem.

Thanks Michael & Ed. With your suggestions and sheer perseverance, I think I might have it. I'm new to Mac & new to Office 08 for Mac, so it's taking me awhile to catch on.
Ed, in my version of Entourage,there is no time zone selection, but I did eventually solve it in system preferences. I just needed to start over & finally got it reconciled.

I'm glad you got it fixed, but are you sure there's not a time zone
selection? In 2004 it was under Entourage Preferences > Calendar. (It is not
under General, as I mistakenly said earlier. Sorry for the confusion.)
I'd be surprised if MS deleted it.

YOU ARE RIGHT, ED, THERE IS A TIME ZONE WITHIN THE PREFERENCES/CALENDAR. HOWEVER, IT WAS SET ACCURATELY TO MY TIME ZONE. MAHALO FOR THE FOLLOW-UP, THOUGH.
