I have this line of code in my database and I don't know what it means.

DoCmd.DoMenuItem acFormBar, acRecordsMenu, acSaveRecord, , acMenuVer70

What the hell is a FormBar?

Hi Chris

This is nasty, obsolete code that was probably generated by a wizard. The
acMenuVer70 refers to Access 7.0 (aka Access 95)!!

The code is attempting to save the current record on your form.

Instead, you should use:
Application.RunCommand acCmdSaveRecord

or, even simpler:
Me.Dirty = False
