Acknowledgement of email

In Windows email there is a facility, that lets you know when your email has been opened by the person you sent it to. I am using Microsoft Office for Mac 2004.
Does Microsoft Office for Mac 2004 software have this feature? Does Microsoft Office for Mac 2008 have this feature?
