acquiring text from scanner

In my previous version of Word (95), there was an option
Acquire in the file menu which fired up the scanner for
OCRing documents directly into Word. I can't find out how
to do this with Word 2002 with XP. I don't want to insert
a picture from scanner or camera - I want Word to work
with my OCR program. Help?

You may need to reinstall your OCR app to let it integrate with Word; but
very likely the add-in that was written for Word 95 will not work with Word
2002, so you may have to upgrade your OCR software as well.
