ACT! to Entourage

I have just made the switch from pc to Mac. I have previously used ACT!, which is a CRM. My needs aren't heavy and detailed, and I don't even need entourage to help with e-mail. I just need to keep client info (name, address, phone #'s, etc.) However, I do need to be able to add calendar items by client, and add notes per client, that I can view relatively easily while speaking to that client.
I'm having trouble finding the Entourage has that capability. If it does, I'd be grateful if someone steered me to the right place, and if not, I'd take any suggestions for other software that can do that. (ACT! is no longer available for Mac.)
Thank you.

I'm not familiar with ACT to understand exactly what you want. Apple's iCal
allows for multiple calendars that might suit your needs better than the
Entourage calendar.

In Entourage you would use Categories to organize if that helps. Spotlight
search in Entourage 2008 now if very fast. Custom views in Entourage also
make organizing your info easy. See this page for help using custom views:

Entourage is also very AppleScript friendly. If you can't find a script that
has been posted, you can ask and many of the scripters here volunteer to
help creating personal scripts.

To find scripts, search:

BASICS: Using AppleScripts in Entourage

This is a simple "get started" lesson on using prepared AppleScripts.

First you don't have to write scripts to use AppleScripts.

In the Menu Bar for Entourage, you will see the script icon. Pull down on
the Script icon and you will see the scripts that have been installed with
Entourage. These scripts are found in the Entourage Script Menu Items
located in the Documents/Microsoft User Data Folder:

By default, this menu includes several scripts that you can use to create a
task, note, or other type of item from a message that you select. To run a
script from the script menu, select the script.

You can add scripts. Just drop a script into the Entourage Script Menu Items
folder within the Microsoft User Data folder. You can also add up to sixteen
subfolders inside of the Entourage Script Menu Items folder, if you use a
lot of scripts and want to organize them. Additional scripts can be found at
the here.

Scripts are often posted on lists. You can copy these into the Apple Script
Editor (or other script editors like Smile, which is free, or Script
Debugger, which is not). Save them as compiled scripts. . Then move or copy
the compiled script file to the Entourage Script Menu Items folder in your
Documents/Microsoft User Data folder.

Note: You can add menu items only for compiled scripts. Script applications
will not show up in the menu.

Hope this helps.
