Action button question

I am a college professor and have all of my lectures in Power Point. I use a
number of different slide design templates which vary from topic to topic
that make up about 30 different Power Point files for a course. Each of the
lectures were originally made in Power Point 2002 and I used and an action
button on the last slide of a file to jump (“Hyperlink to Other Power Point
Presentationâ€) to the next file without closing down the slide show within my
lecture. Here is the problem, when I switched to Power Point 2003, the
action buttons do not work with any file that was originally made with Power
Point 2002. I am able to get the action button to work if I make the files
from scratch using Power Point 2003, but as you might imagine, I do not want
to do that.

In summary, any suggestions to get the action buttons to open a new file in
Power Point 2003 based on Power Point 2002 files?

When upgrading to the new version of PowerPoint, did you restructure your
computer and change the paths of the files? So maybe the hyperlinks are
pointing to the wrong direction now?

Kind regards,

What Echo and Ute said and ...

I didn't see either of them mention being sure that you have applied
Service Pack 1 to PowerPoint 2003. Go to the Help menu and choose Check
for Updates. Follow the instructions to apply SP1. I don't recall seeing
your specific problems as one of the problems that SP1 solves, but it
solves so many things that it is a good thing with which to start.
