Hello-
I'm really hoping that someone can help me out with some ideas...
I've built a presentation in PPT 98 in OS 9.2. (I also have access to
PPT X in OS X at home - in case that's helpful somehow - so far, I
haven't found anything in X to help me)
The PPT is a tutorial about a website that is designed to be
self-paced. On most slides, text explains a feature about said
website, then the user has the option to view an animation
demonstrating said feature (animation is within PPT - set up in the
custom animation dialog box) or click an action button to advance to
the next slide without viewing the animation.
Right now I have a "button" on screen that users are directed to click
to view the animation. Really it's just a dummy button because
clicking anywhere on screen will cause PPT to advance through the next
step in the slide's animation sequence.
What I *really* need is for the button to be a little more functional.
So that if the user wants to see the animation again, they can click
on the button again to replay it.
Is there a way to assign a behavior to an action button? To tell it -
ok, when the user clicks, play steps 4-9 in the custom animation
sequence for this slide?
I imagine this must involve some sort of a macro, but I haven't the
foggiest idea where to start. I keep hoping I can avoid learning
about macros, but this may need to be the end of my evasions!
[rassafrassa frassarassa]
Any ideas? My next best idea is that I'll need to re-create my
animations in flash and import them all as movies - but re-creating
everything is gonna be painful... [rassafrassa frassarassa]
Thanks everyone!
