Activate a CMD Button from a previous slide

Is it possible to activate a command button on one slide from another slide?
What I am trying to do is when I click on a cmd button on slide 1 it preforms
the actions of a cmd button on slide 2 just as if I went to slide 2 and
clicked on the cdm in that slide.

I'm working on a testing program where one calculates and inputs the answer
into a text box. If a person answers incorrectly then they can click a
command button in slide 1 and the solution is displayed showing the
individual how to solve the problem. The next slide is a different problem.
One has to click on a command button in slide 2 to generate a new set of
numbers in slide 2. It seems that if one does not click on the new problem
CMD button in slide 2, the numbers displayed are from a previous session and
when some one answers the question the correct answer does not display.
I was trying to avoid having a person clicking on the command button in
slide 2 to provide new data. I thought by clicking on a CMD Button in slide
1, I'd clear all the shapes, etc in slide #1 and make it such that the the
macro in Slide #2 "thinks" that the CMD Button in slide 2 was clicked

Sorry for the long winded explation. You we very helpfull in a previous
posting..

Thanks Steve for the reply .. That is what I am looking for. My problem is
how to activate a cmd button in slide 2. Dr. Marcovitz's book shows how to
address shapes, but I need to make the macro act as if I clicked on the cmd
button in slide 2.
