activate a reinstalled copy?

I had to reinstall office on my hard drive. I cannot
activate it because it says it is already activated.
Which, of course, it is, as a previous install. How do I
activate this new install?

Thanks.

There should be an 800 number that comes up on the message
telling you the product is already activated. Just phone
in and tell them you had to reinstall and they will
reactivate for you, Sharon

IF the dialog tells you it is already activated - it is, and you don't have
to re-activate. It is common that re-installing on the same hard drive does
not require re-activation. You would only expect to have to activate if you
were installing fresh on a new machine using the same Product ID.

Earth to Glenn, Earth to Glenn, come in please...no it's no good, Houston,
we've lost it...You have to reactivate *EVERY* time you reinstall - whether
it's the same hard drive or not. If that doesn't happen to you then you're
using an OEM licence. Retail has to be reactivated upon *EACH* installation.
