activate a trial version of office 2007

I had the trial version of Office pro 2007. I bought the Pro version online
over the weekend and activated. But it still reports in Outlook Help\activate
Trial version expire Nov 30 2007. When I activated and converted and accepted
the new key.

Is this normal?

Sometimes the trial version can mess with the Pro version. Did you install
the pro version with the trial version?

If you find that it is going to expire or does...

You will want to try to uninstall all office products through add/remove
programs, then follow KB
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928218/en-us.

This KB will walk you through removing all the ophaned office reg keys and
files for Office 2007. Then reinstall the pro version.

I was under the impression I could just buy the key and activate from there.

No, your right. If they are the same versions you should be able to do that.

I wouldn't expect it to still say that it will expire however.

Just to be safe keep my instructions handy so if it does expire (it
shouldn't) then you can follow my instructions and get pro back on the box.
