Activate logging on Task level

Hello,
some strange things happen on our project 2007 server.
In some projects the WBS Code for a Task gets lost and empty rows appear in
the schedule. We dont know how that happens.
Is there a way to trace & log all actions on task table or something similar?

Make sure you've got SP1 and the latest cumulative update installed, then
clear down the local cache.

Can you then replicate the issue on

a. existing schedules
b. new schedules.
