I purchased downloadable German Language Pack for Office 2007 back in
January, making a copy of the download and several of the Product Key. The
"Merchant of Record" is Digital River globalTech. Now I am reinstalling the
operating system and need to reinstall the language pack. The "Digital
River SecuROM Product Activity Screen" says "Aktivierung fehlgeschlagen -
unknown error" after contacting Digital River. There is a button for
"Manuelle Aktivierung" but it requires a product unlock code which I do not
have and was never given. Under "Manuelle Aktivierung" there are two text
boxes, one for "Code anfragen" which contains a forty-four digit static text
code that I do not recognize from any of my correspondence related to this
order, and one for "Freischaltcode" ("unlock code") where it appears I am
supposed to enter something. The Product Key does not work here.
I have sent Office Customer Support and Digital River emails asking how to
get past the error message or how to get an unlock key. Has anyone run into
this before and what was the resolution? Feel free to cross post this to
another Microsoft news group if there is a better one.
Thanks!
