"Activating" "hidden" fields in Word 2001 for Mac

I'm making my first foray into creating a form in Word. I'd like to
create an entry macro which, when launched by a checkbox entry, will
"activate" a hiterto unseen text field to be completed by the user.
The example given in the onboard MS help is that of a checkbox
labelled "Married," which, when checked, "activates" another field
labelled "Name of Spouse," to be completed by the user. Any guidance
whcih you can give as to how to do this would be appreciated. Thanks.
